The Journey So Far…
I’m a screenwriter and filmmaker who loves stories that make people laugh and cry, suspending disbelief while staying rooted in realism. This site brings together some of my films, writing, and reflections on the craft.
I’ve written and directed work for film, radio, and theatre, with projects recognised at festivals in Berlin, Lisbon, and London. Right now, I’m developing a low-budget feature — you can follow its progress here on the site and through my social media.
I also teach screenwriting and filmmaking at the University of Brighton. I’ve been teaching for over a decade, am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and bring industry experience into the classroom, helping students craft bold, character-driven stories. Over the years, I’ve read and given feedback on hundreds of student screenplays — so I may be able to help you too.
I hold MAs in Screenwriting, Producing, and Film Studies and a BA in Film Studies.
Beyond the page and the classroom, I write about the creative process, my love of films and shows that inspire me, and what keeps me going.
I live in London with my partner and our daughter. Balancing filmmaking, teaching, and family life is part of my story too — and it often finds its way into what I write here.
You can reach me through email, Instagram, or LinkedIn.
Good luck with your own endeavours, and I hope we can collaborate one day.
